A Ronni Nicole cardigan is built to do all of this without losing its shape, pilling prematurely or stretching at the shoulders — the three most common complaints about high-street knitwear.

We knit our cardigans in small production runs, favouring yarns with a soft hand-feel and a tight knit that holds its structure. The button bands are reinforced with an invisible interfacing, the necklines are shaped rather than ribbed flat, and the cuffs are gently tapered to sit neatly at the wrist without bunching.

The longline cardigan

Our signature longline cardigan falls to mid-thigh and skims the hip elegantly. It is exceptional over a slim dress or a midi skirt and silk camisole. In a heavier knit it works as a softer alternative to a coat during shoulder seasons.

The classic waist-length cardigan

For a timeless look, our classic cardigan sits just below the waist with a slightly fitted body and a shaped button front. It is perfect over a shirt or blouse for work and complements high-waisted trousers or skirts beautifully.

The cropped cardigan

Our cropped cardigans finish at the natural waist and are cut to wear open over a camisole or closed as a lightweight top in their own right. They are particularly flattering over high-waisted jumpsuits or tea dresses.

Yarns we love

Our core cardigan range is knitted in a cashmere-blend merino yarn that balances warmth, softness and price. For trans-seasonal pieces we use a cotton-modal blend with a lovely drape and a cool-to-the-touch finish. Occasional capsule pieces come in pure cashmere for a genuine investment knit, or in recycled wool blends for a lower-impact option — both labelled clearly on the product page.

Caring for your knitwear

Knitted garments reward a little extra care. We recommend folding cardigans rather than hanging to preserve the shoulder shape, using a clean cotton tote or a breathable drawer lined with tissue paper. Wash inside out on a wool or delicate cycle at 30°C, using a gentle detergent, and reshape on a flat towel to dry. A ceramic cashmere comb can easily remove any small pills that appear with wear — completely normal in natural yarns — to keep your cardigan looking new for many seasons.
