A well-cut shirt is one of the most quietly confident pieces you can wear. It signals polish without fuss and instantly lifts almost any outfit. Ronni Nicole shirts are drafted with this principle at their heart: the collar sits neatly, the shoulder seams hit the right point, the body skims without clinging, and the cuffs sit correctly under the wrist bone.

We use premium cotton poplin, cotton-rich twills and silky viscose blends for our shirts and blouses. Each fabric is chosen for a particular purpose — crisp structure, fluid drape or comfortable stretch — and tested for shrinkage and colour retention before we put it into production.

The classic cotton shirt

The foundation of our collection is a beautifully cut cotton shirt with a flat collar, shaped darts and a curved hem. It tucks neatly into a skirt or tailored trouser and works under a knitted cardigan or sweater without bulk.

The silky blouse

For softer, more fluid looks, our silky blouses in viscose and satin-back crepe drape beautifully across the body. Look for details like tie necks, pussy bows, or covered buttons — small touches that feel considered without being fussy.

The printed statement shirt

Each season we introduce a small number of printed shirts in our signature hand-painted florals and subtle geometrics. These pieces bring colour and movement to a neutral wardrobe, and are especially brilliant paired with black trousers, a pencil skirt, or white jeans.

The relaxed linen-blend

For warmer months and holidays, our linen-blend shirts have a slightly relaxed fit, a dropped shoulder and a boxy hem. They look lovely over slim trousers or worn open over a camisole and shorts.

How to wear a Ronni Nicole shirt

A classic white cotton shirt is a magnificent wardrobe workhorse. Tuck it into a pencil skirt for the office, layer it under a longline cardigan for cooler days, or leave it half-tucked into high-waisted jeans with trainers for the weekend. A silky pussy-bow blouse is ideal for any occasion requiring a little more polish — think wedding receptions, drinks events, and important work meetings.

For evening styling, try a printed blouse under a tuxedo blazer with tailored black trousers, or pair a simple silk shirt with a full midi skirt and strappy sandals. In summer, the linen-blend works beautifully knotted at the waist with high-rise shorts or loose trousers.

Sizing your shirt correctly

Shirts are one of the hardest garments to size on the high street, because a proper shirt has to work for both the bust and the shoulder. Our patterns are drafted to fit a balanced bust and shoulder, with shaped darts that prevent the dreaded bust-gape. If you have a fuller bust relative to your shoulder, we generally recommend sizing up and tailoring the shoulder if needed. For the opposite shape, your usual size is usually right. Care for crisp, long-lasting shirts

Cotton shirts love a cold wash, a tumble-free dry, and ironing whilst still a little damp. Iron the collar and cuffs first, then the yoke, then the body. Silky viscose blouses should be hand-washed or washed inside a protective bag on a delicate cycle, then hung to dry. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve print colours.
